Phase 1: Planning & Budget
Let’s meet and talk about your needs. We want to have a clear picture of what inspired you to move forward with construction and how it aligns with your goals for this project. Understanding how you plan to utilize the space, how this project will improve your daily life, and your project budget is key to providing you the best service. We will discuss your unique design style and preferences so that we can tailor our approach to meet your needs. Our team is highly experienced and will provide you with a wealth of knowledge and options. After this meeting you will be left with the confidence that you’re in the best hands and a clear understanding of next steps.
Phase 2: Design
Our goal is to achieve the perfect design for your project. We will work collaboratively with designers, architects, and most importantly you, to bring your design to life. This collaborative approach allows us to provide you with realistic timelines and expectations from start to finish.
Phase 3: Preconstruction & Engineering
During the preconstruction and engineering phase of your project, we will prepare for construction by applying for necessary city approvals and permits. We will also prepare the job site by posting any necessary signage, installing dust and floor protection, and ordering framing materials. This phase is crucial to ensure that the construction process runs smoothly and efficiently.
Phase 4: Demo & Construction
In this phase, walls will come down and new walls will go up - your plans get off paper and begin to take shape! Framing, electrical, insulation, plumbing, HVAC, and drywall will be completed. This can typically be the longest phase depending on the scope of the project.
Whether you are still in the home or living elsewhere, we provide frequent updates and communication through photos and meetings so you always know the status of your project. We believe that keeping you informed is crucial to the success of your project and we want to ensure that you are fully aware of each step.
Phase 4: Carpentry & Finishes
We take pride in the fact that we handcraft all of the cabinetry in our shop or on site. Our approach allows us to have greater control and creativity, which in turn allows us to customize each project to your unique needs. This attention to detail results in a superior finished product that you will love.
After completing any HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work, we will install the interior doors, trim, and hardware. Paint, flooring, cabinets, and fixtures will be added. The final touches and details are completed. This is the stage of construction where the house transforms from a construction site to a home!
Phase 5: Final Walk-Through
Congratulations! You are in the final phase of your project. This is where the final cleaning and inspection of the house takes place. We want to ensure that your new space is perfect before we hand it back over to you.
